Things to do in 2010

- Health is wealth. I have to improvise on the wealth that i am loosing. Need to gain control on it

- I need to raise my self-respect. I think at times i am too humble or fell down at the feet of the people. Could it be attitude that i need to bring in my life?

- Parenting.. 2nd time!!?

- Couple of long and quality stories on Marathi blog

- Learn something new. I don't know what it is or what it will be. But i've to do some learning for something new, exciting

- Socialize more (?) with relatives. I am too ignorant with relatives. Mostly avoid visiting them, need to improvise on it

- Be patient with Ojas

- Get some amazing photos (of what?)

- In 2009, i was almost like a Zombie. I don't want to do that in 2010

Will keep updating this list as and when possible.

Mysterious girl, over a lunch table

I had a amazing lunch to end 2009. I was on leave, though decided to meet-up few of my colleagues for lunch. So four of us went to a hotel called 'Khana Peena Jeena' in Chandani Chowk.

We just had ordered beer and was about to sip it, just then Mr. U said, hey look there Mrs.S is right there outside the gate. We all turned our head, the reason is, Mrs.S is somehow very mysterious, for i know she has a 'friendly' relations with most of the males and somehow she always manages to have a lunch with either of them to some place where nobody else could 'catch them'. I could say lot many things about this 'friendly relations' but considering this post is public stuff, and i know that lot of people from my office read my blog (Even-though nobody says so) hence i would rather stay away from a HOT gossip.

So, she was out there, and HE was about to park the vehicle, when she spotted us seating in the varanda. She sensed the danger of being caught and they ran away. To bad for them, somebody (Mr. M) spotted the other guy. For me, i was least interested who it will be, because i know her more closely than others (don't take me wrong), and i know that she is not just involved with males from our office, but she got a huge fan following outside. So for me, i thought that HE could be one of her outsider friend.

NOW, we already are with the beer, and all were curious who HE was. Till that time it was not a interesting stuff, atleast not for me, untill Mr.M said, HE was somebody from our office. And then we all were very curious to know who it could be. I spotted that HE was on bike and i saw them running away on bike. So the obvious person i know use a car to commute. So definitely that was not he. The other guy who 'it could be' was with us and they were out just the day before. So that possibility was eliminated. Other two guys i suspected were on leave that day so those were eliminated. Then who was that guy??

So Mr. M offered a clue. He said, that guy ALWAYS use a two wheeler. Our mind were running with scanning bunch of people who come on two wheeler, ALWAYS.

Three of us had different options to vote for. Mr. M said there will be only two chances to guess. We were clueless. To make the matter a bit simple (or worse) Mr. M offered another clue. The clue was "HE ALWAYS wears glasses". Not thats interesting. I immediately sensed someone. I know HE gels well with her. He although is OOO, he is single, ready to mingle, can always join her for lunch. I was strong on my opinion, but other two were not. They had some different ideas and they were voting for a other guy. So i casted my vote for the other guy.

Mr. M. said NO

Now it was my turn. I justified my vote and convinced the other two that HE is the guy. It was to be him with her today. There was a lot of fight, convincing from other two how he could be or how he cannot be the one. Finally i won the battle and they casted their vote for my suspect.

Mr. M. said NO

Oh sheet!! We lost both of our chances. This called for another beer. Minds were working, who it could be. We all were parsing each and every guy from the office and trying to relate him.

Mr.S?? No re, he is a family guy, besides he stay in the other part of the city, why would he come far just for HER?

Mr. B? No re, he is a boy. Immature, doesn't look like he will be the one.

Mr N? Can't say. He doesn't look like, but can't say.

Mr. A? Yes, he is a very tharki guy. He could be the one. But for me, he was not. Because i have seen the bike, and it was a older types. Mr. A holds a new 180cc bike which obviously was not that one. So that eliminates him.

Mr. M continued to give us clue, and we keep eliminating and adding suspects in the list.

Discussions continued for almost 3 hrs with lots of things to digest and beer which never worked on us. Finally we gave us. We paid the bill, we were crawling inside the car to go back and then Mr. M told us who was that guy.

Now for my dear colleagues, if you are reading this post, don't expect me to tell you the name, who it was. Keep guessing guys :-)

Couple of good things happened today

... which calls off a year 2009 on a good note

1. Very important, and i am very pleased with that. My neighbor finally sold of his car. They were using it since last 16 years or so. It was Maruti 800. Well the reason i am happy about is, now the parking space is freed-up. They were rarely using the car and most of the times i would say 70-80% of time in those years, the car was stationary. We have 2 row car parking and although they were not using the car they were always parking the car in front-row which was causing trouble to people like us who were forced to park the car in second row. Every time we had to take extra efforts to drive our car out of the gate. I was praying god that they will sell the car, and finally it did happened.

I felt so good and relieved when i drove my car inside and out of the gate. I could do it today with such a ease... sigh

2. A signal in the square was finally implemented by the RTO. That square was really a chaotic especially for those who were coming from the newly no-entry removed road. It was a lot of trouble to cross. We had to drove our vehicles in split of the seconds when one signal was red and other one was about to go green. Finally i saw a signal today and i was relieved

3. Fantastic lunch today, Not for the food, but for the things happened and the things that we discussed today along-with beer. Well i am surely going to post about it in detail sooner so hang on for a while

4. 2009 is about to end. It was good for me, but not extremely good. I faced few health problems and was not so happy on office stuff. So i really hope, 2010 will be a much better and beautiful healthy problem free year.

Hunt for the Kingfisher Calendar Girl 2010

Yesterday's night was the finale for "Hunt for the Kingfisher Calendar Girl 2010". And the winner was "Himarsha (South Africa)", 1st runner up- Anjali (Mumbai) and 2nd runner up - Nidhi (Bangalore)

So my favorite was Anjali. Apart from a sensual, perfect body she has got that extra cuteness on her face which is why she was my favorite. In most of the tasks she carried herself nicely and she looked awesome. In yesterday's last task which was a photo-shoot of a models without a top, she looked fantastic. Well, don't take me wrong. Not for "that", but even though she was topless, she still looked cute and yet seductive. Nidhi was bit nervous, whereas Himarsha was quiet ok with it.

According to Shobha D. Himarsha don't have that maturity or professionalism that a perfect model should have. According to Milind Soman, Anjali have the perfect body for a model. But finally i think what mattered is the vote of the great photo grapher - Atul Kasbekar. He opted for Himarsha. He said she holds the face of a Kingfisher Calendar Girl 2010. Having said that, the winner was obvious.

It was a tough call between Himarsha and Anjali. Both were / are good, both are hot and cute, both have a nice hight. So... its a luck that mattered i guess.

Show was fantastic. All these girls did those tough task very nicely. I envy Atul Kasbekar. For me he is the person of whose job everyone will envy :-)

I loved the show, for reason one, it is related to photography. I got to learn few things w.r.t. photography, lighting, angels and reason two.... well do i have to tell ya?

Weather

Its cloudy, its misty, it is freezing outside. Clock shows almost 10am and there is yet no sign of sun-shine. I wished it snows in India. But no, not yet we have to wait for 2012. If something drastic happens and there is a drastic change in the way it is right now, who knows, snow fall might start here as well.. :-)

Here is the photo i clicked while coming to office around 9.15am. Sky looked pretty heavy, as though it will rain. Mist was around, but the mobile camera failed to catch that. So the photo does not do any justice to portrait what i explained earlier.

I heard Pune was 8.5 couple of days back. The breeze is very cold as well. I don't feel like getting out of the blanket. Today it was 7am, i look out of the glass window and i could see dark everywhere. So i pulled over the blanket and was fast asleep till the clock struck 8.30am.

I thought, inside office will provide bit warmth, but i was wrong. A/c is in full blow and i shivered, the moment i entered inside the office premise. Thank god i am wearing my pull-over without which, i believe i could be a frosty

Gossip Gossip... shhhh!!

I know gossiping is more of a girly thing, but i can't help. Fact is that i enjoy gossiping. I have a gossip to share. Don't expect me to disclose anybody's name here. That is not a purpose of this post or the blog.

I think there is something in between 'him' and 'her'. How can they be always together? She is married, he is not. Do you remember a dialog from movie 'Maine Pyar Kiya'? Mohnish behel says "Ek javan ladka aur ek javan ladki kabhi ek dusare ke friends nahi ho sakte" This was in the late eighties, but i still believe it holds true even now, atleast with these two.

He is involved shopping for her and vice versa. They secretly try to be together trying not to be noticed by others. When i ask him about her, he just smiles and says "we are just friends" I call him a Black cat. When a cat sips a milk, she try not to be noticed by others and hence always does so with closed eyes. But fact is that others still notice that act.

It is just like that here. Anyways why should I bother? Its their personal decision. It could be anything between them, or it could also be true that they are really friends.

This is just a gossip, it could be true, it could be fake. I wrote what i thought and what i heard. So you please keep quiet unless i confirm the truth :-)

चहा आणि उपमा

... मला काही केल्या ह्या दोन गोष्टी घरच्या आवडतच नाहीत. चहा तरीही ठिक आहे, म्हणजे ते एक व्यसनच आहे नाही का? त्यामुळे घरचा चालतो. पण उपमा?? छ्छे.. कित्ती प्रयत्न केला आवडुन घेण्याचा पण नाहीच. घरी केलेला उपमा मला आज्जीबात आवडत नाही.

बाहेरचा उपमा कित्ती छान असतो, मऊ मऊ त्याची चव सुध्दा मला फार आवडते. पण घरचा.. म्हणजे असतो मऊ नाही असे नाही. पण त्याची चव बाहेरच्या उपम्यासारखी नाहीच लागत. एक-दोनदा तर मी कार्यालयाच्या कॅन्टीनवाल्याला विचारलेसुध्दा.."बाबा रे तुझ्या उपम्याची रेसेपी सांगतोस का जरा? किंवा निदान असा उपमा बनवायला माझ्या आईला आणि/किंवा बायकोला शिकव ना करावयाला."

बरं, एकत्र बाहेर गेलो की माझी पंचाइत होते. म्हणजे बाहेर हॉटेलमध्ये मी उपमा मागवला की बायको म्हणते घरी केलेला उपमा खात नाहीस आणि बाहेरचा मात्र चालतो का तुला? आता तिला कुठे सांगु घरी केलेला आवडत नाही म्हणुन? घरी उपमा केलेला असला की मी आपले जनरीक विधान केलेले असते 'मला उपमा आवडत नाही'.

एकदा तो रेडी-टु-मिक्स मिळतो तो उपमा सुध्दा आणुन पाहीला घरी पण तो तर फारच फालतु निघाला, त्यापेक्षा घरचा परवडला अशी परीस्थीती होती :-)

असो... आज नाही तर उद्या घरचा उपमा सुधारेल या आशेवर घरचा उपमा खाण्याचे स्वप्न उराशी बाळगुन आहे.

मॉडेल

जेंव्हा जेंव्हा मी ओजसचे फोटो मित्रांना दाखवतो, सगळे म्हणतात "मॉडेल आहे एक नंबरचा, मॉडेलिंगला का नाही घालत त्याला? टि.व्ही., ऍड्स मध्ये चमकेलच, अगदीच नाही तर निदान मॅगझिन्स मध्ये तरी फोटो येतीलच"

मला अगदी पटतं त्यांच म्हणणं, खरंच आहे ते. पण ओजसला मॉडेलिंग किंवा त्या क्षेत्रात घालवुन मला त्याच्यापासुन त्याचे बालपण नाही हिरावुन घ्यायचे आहे. टि.व्ही. वर बघतो मी कित्ती बारकी बारकी मुलं नाचत असतात, रिऍलीटी शोज मध्ये भाग घेत असतात पण असं मनोमन वाटत रहातं ह्या सगळ्या व्यापात त्यांचं बालपणं कुठे जाईल कळणारच नाही. काय हक्क आहे आपल्याला असं करण्याचा? मग आपल्यात आणि पैश्यासाठी रस्त्यावर बाजार मांडणाऱ्या डोंबाऱ्यात काय फरक?

एकदाच घालुन बघु मॉडेलिंग मध्ये, मग एकावरुन दुसरं मग तिसरं आणि मग ते चक्र सुरुच होते. त्या चक्रात फिरतानाच मागे अभ्यासाची ओझी सांभाळायची. त्यातच चुकुन त्यांच्या डोक्यात हवा शिरली तर मग काही विचारायलाच नको.

माझा माझ्या मुलावर पुर्ण विश्वास आहे आणि मोठेपणी जे काही क्षेत्र तो निवडेल त्यात तो नक्कीच यशस्वी होईल. मग करीयरच्या गोंडस नावाखाली आत्तापासुनच का मी त्याला कामाल लावु? त्याचे हे कोमल बालपण एकदा गेले की परत कधीच येणार नाही, त्याच्यासाठीही आणि आमच्यासाठीही. त्याची मस्ती, तोडफोड, रुसवे-फुगवे, रडारड, हास्याचा खळखळाट सगळं काही खुप आहे आमच्यासाठी.

मॉडेलिंग त्याच्या नशीबातच लिहीले असेल तर मोठेपणी ते त्याला मिळेलच मग आत्तापासुन कश्याला?

काही जणं म्हणतात "तु त्याचे पोटेंशिअल्स इग्नोअर करतो आहेस", "तो जे डिझर्व करतो ते तु हिरावुन घेऊ पहात आहेस". पण मला तरी नाही पटत ते. असु देत तसं असेल तर.. आय डोन्ट केअर :-)
